Otto Paul bought the restaurant for 9,000 Reichsmarks (RM) from the Raiffeisenbank Wittenberg. At the beginning of December, the extensive construction and renovation work costing around 9,000 RM was completed. The restaurant opened on December 2, 1937 with two guest rooms, a post office (until 1964) and a grocery store (until 1960).
1943 - 1945
Use of the hall as a prison camp for French prisoners of war.
Mai 1945
The hall served as a formation room for the German Wehrmacht.

Consumption commission restaurant until June 1990.
1964
The business is taken over by Otto Paul's only son, today's senior boss, Siegfried Paul. This was followed by extensive renovation work such as the installation of central heating, extensions to the guest room and modernizations.
1990
Takeover by Siegfried's son and daughter-in-law - the current owners Simone and Volkmar Paul.
1992
Opening of the new hotel building with 13 comfortably furnished guest rooms.
1998
Expansion of room capacity to 20 rooms as well as expansion and modernization of the kitchen area.
1999
Redesign of the outdoor area (including beer garden) and redesign of the facade.
2004
Addition of a new breakfast room that sweetens the start of the day with its classic and cozy atmosphere.
2006 - 2007
Extensive renovations and modernizations in the hotel area.
2008 - 2009
Remodeling and expansion of the restaurant and complete renovation of our magnificent ballroom.
2014
Purchase of the neighboring property with a house, barn and garden. Demolition of the buildings on the new property and construction planning for the new hotel complex.
2015 - 2017
Many years passed from the first ideas for a new hotel complex, through the planning, to the actual start of construction and the laying of the foundation stone in June 2016. After nerve-wracking years, the new premium area was officially opened in May 2017. The result was 14 exclusively equipped themed rooms, 1 extravagant suite with a roof terrace as well as a sauna and fitness area with a roof terrace and a view over the roofs of Linthe.
2017 - 2018
Design of the newly created outdoor area. Thanks to countless volunteers and many hard-working hands, this was inaugurated with the wedding of Simone and Volkmar's eldest daughter in June 2018. In the coming years we will continue to work on improving the appearance of our house and adapting the comfort for you to the spirit of the times.
